Monday night. Am wishing summer would get here! It's been an awfully cool & wet spring, and though everything's green and blooming, enjoying the outdoors is kind of hard. Other than watching the robins in the backyard bird bath enjoying a bath in the rain. :)

I've also seen finches, blue jays, chickadees, blackbirds and cardinals, among the requisite squirrels and chipmunks scampering on our backyard fence. Having wildlife in the backyard is a simple joy in life and more people should sit back with a cup of hot tea in your hand and just watch nature take its course.

3 and a half months until my England vacation. Patience. I haven't been on a plane since 2002. Longest time ever between flights. I'm even looking forward to jet lag.

I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance on TV, I've been watching since it's first season, and I'm always excited by the new bunch of dancers. That's what makes summer so.....summer. C'mon and get some!

Friday Night, Nothing On

Though my vacation is just under 4 months away, I'm starting to get excited. I have no lists yet of where exactly I want to go, just vague ideas. We've booked the flight, but not accommodation. I guess just the thought of going on my first non-family vacation is just enough to get me through the summer. I can't believe I want the summer to go fast, especially since I was wishing for it all winter!

I'm posting a pic of my dog, Charlie. He's a small mini poodle who is the current love of my life. He's smart, funny, fast as a bunny and extremely adorable. :)

First Day, First Post, Freezing Office

Good afternoon!

Two hours to countdown to leaving work today, and I can't help but think that offices are always cold, ALWAYS. I'm sitting in my office (that has a door) in the middle of the building, and the front gets heat, the back gets some heat, but the middle is stuck in air-conditioned, igloo-style, h-e--double-hockey-sticks. My supervisior won't let me keep my heater on now that it's spring, and I'm going to have to wear fleece in summer and early fall just to keep warm. Oy.

At least I have my internet radio to keep me company. :)

Will post later on from home about jewelry stuff that's going on...now that I've made my 1,000th sale, it's like there's a turning point, a screeching learning curve that I seem to have to take seriously now. I've been on etsy now for nearly 3 years, evolving, creating, having a blast, and now I want to do MORE. We shall see how this evolves...

Ciao until later!
